Are Gator blades mulching blades?
In this regard, do Gator mulching blades work?
My experience is gator blade do work well for mulching and bagging but if your going to side discharge they wont throw grass as evenly or as far out of the deck as my regular high lift blades.
Regarding this, are Gator blades better than regular blades?
Unlike other mulching blades that push the grass down, the high lift on a gator blade draws the grass up which in turn gives you a clean, even cut. And because the teeth aren't used for cutting, you do not have to sharpen them and are able to sharpen the actual blade the same as you would with a standard blade.
When your push mower leaves clumps of grass clippings on the lawn as you mow, the likely causes are wet grass or allowing the grass to get too tall before you mow. You can't control the weather, but you can maintain a healthy, clump-free lawn by making a few changes in the way you mow the lawn.
