Will my car lock if I leave the keys inside?

Generally no - because of the risk of locking the keys inside the car. Some can detect where the key fob is with sufficient accuracy to avoid locking it inside the car - and my Tesla certainly does that when I use my phone as the “key” - automatically locking when the phone is no longer in bluetooth range.
Also know, will my car lock if I leave the keys in the ignition?
If you have the key in the ignition and open the driver door, the car will not lock.
Considering this, will my car lock itself if I forget?
It will not lock by itself if you exit the car and walk away. HOWEVER, if you unlock the car and don't enter it(open a door), it will relock in about 30 seconds. That's the only thing it does automatically. I hope that's clear enough.
Yes . Comprehensive (or Other than Collision) coverage explicitly covers Theft or Larceny, without any “ifs”. On the other hand, any auto insurance policy will contain a provision that speaks to fraud. your insurance company will cover a stolen car if you inadvertently left your key inside.
