Remove the gas cap from the gas tank to relieve the pressure off of the fuel filter. Slide under the driver's side of the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and locate the fuel filter. The fuel filter is located inside of the driver's-side frame rail, between the driver's-side cab of the truck and the driver's-side rear tire.
