What was European exploration?
Similarly, what was the purpose of the European exploration?
There are three main reasons for European Exploration. Them being for the sake of their economy, religion and glory. They wanted to improve their economy for instance by acquiring more spices, gold, and better and faster trading routes. Also, they really believed in the need to spread their religion, Christianity.
In respect to this, how did European exploration change the world?
European countries brought many lands under their control. The world was opened up and new crops were introduced from one land to another. In the NEW WORLD, many native peoples died because they had no resistance to the European diseases that explorers and crews brought with them.
Having more people explore was a very good and bad thing. The Age of exploration was the beginning to new life. Most of the Spanish conquistadors were very successful in their findings. For example, Magellan found an all-water route to Asia in 1522.
