Is Central America a part of Latin America?
Regarding this, what type of region is Latin America?
Latin America generally refers to territories in the Americas where the Spanish, Portuguese or French languages prevail: Mexico, most of Central and South America, and in the Caribbean, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Puerto Rico.
Considering this, is Latin America the same as South America?
South America is the continent on the Western Hemisphere south of and adjacent to North America. Latin America is a collective term used to characterize countries (or territories) of the Western Hemisphere whose primary language is derived from Latin, such as Spanish, Portuguese, or French.
No, it is not. Everybody speaks English and there are a minuscule amount of Hispanic people living in The Bahamas. It's not part of 'The Caribbean' either, as is often mistakenly claimed. Sometimes the Bahamas is put into a Latin American zone for things like markets, but that's very much an oversimplification.
