Cleaning The Louvres
Use a wet sponge to remove loose material deposits. Dry dusting should be avoided as it can tend to scratch the surface of the louvres. If you notice any moss, remove it as well using a wet sponge. Use a mild detergent and warm water and remove grime, salt, dust or other dirt using a soft brush.

Cleaning Louvered Windows
- Open the louvres up fully and use the washer (on the t-bar) to wash both sides of a few panes.
- Squeegee the top then bottom of each pane.
- Once you've squeegeed the whole set, it's time to do the initial wipe with a towel.
- Carefully remove jalousie glass from the window – I like to remove and wash 5 at a time.
- Place the 5 panes in a bathtub filled with warm water and a generous few squirts of dishwashing liquid and soak them.
- Wipe each piece down with a soft rag or cloth in the water.

Caring for your outdoor aluminium louvres
- Wash with warm water, non-abrasive pH neutral detergent and a soft cloth or brush. Allow to dry completely.
- Lightly spray all carriers, pivots and brackets with a corrosion preventative (CRC marine 66, Innox or WD40).
- Give areas a light wipe with a dry cloth to remove any excess product.
Clean the entire door by spraying it with a commercial cleaner, wiping down the frame with a rag and using the ruler and dusting rag to clean between the louvers. If you prefer a homemade cleaner, mix 2 or 3 ounces of white vinegar with a quart of water and add 10 drops of lemon oil.
