Install the Beadboard
Adhesive may be used to fasten panels to a smooth, well-adhered surface. On the back of each panel, place a 1/4" bead of adhesive about 1" from the edges of the panel. Press the panel firmly onto the wall, and add nails at approximately 12” intervals to hold it in place while the adhesive dries.

Consequently, can you put beadboard over paneling?
Place the beadboard on the wall, over the top of the existing paneling. Use a pneumatic nail gun to nail the beadboard into place on the paneling. If you are using smaller panels of beadboard, place the tongue of each panel into the groove of the previous panel.
No glue would be necessary. It is almost 3/4" thick so you will need to plan on a little edge trim to tame it down. BTW, unless you have installed perlins in the wall, the planks will run horizontally.
