Wattle is a lightweight construction material made by weaving thin branches (either whole, or more usually split) or slats between upright stakes to form a woven lattice. It has commonly been used to make fences and hurdles for enclosing ground or handling livestock.

Herein, how do you weave a fence?
- Build the structure. Install posts and rails.
- Cut fence boards to fit. Cut three fence boards about 2 inches longer than the distance between two posts.
- Weave the spacers.
- Fasten loose ends of boards.
- Install a second set of supports.
- Work your way down the fence.
Wattle fences are easy to make and practically cost nothing to build.
- Locate trees on your property from which you can saw off stick branches.
- Drill holes halfway into the end caps with the power drill.
- Place the capped rebar stakes on the area where you want to put up your fence.
