DYMO label printers utilize direct thermal printing technology. Using a thermal print-head, the chemically treated labels blacken into the shape of your image or text on contact. They don't need ink, toner, or ribbons to operate.
Keeping this in consideration, how does a label printer work?
A label printer is a computer printer that prints on self-adhesive label material and/or card-stock (tags). Label printers are different from ordinary printers because they need to have special feed mechanisms to handle rolled stock, or tear sheet (fanfold) stock.
Regarding this, how do you make Dymo labels?
How to Print Dymo Labels in Word
- Download the Dymo label software, which includes an add-in for Microsoft Word.
- Open Microsoft Word.
- Type and highlight the text you want to print on a label.
- Click the Dymo icon, or choose the Dymo option from the Tools menu.
- Choose the appropriate label file from the Label Files drop-down list.
In your current version of Dymo Label Software (DLS) look for the export option (this should be in the address book menu, or possibly the file menu depending on the version), and select the export option. If you are given a choice then save in "CSV" format.
