What is continuous control?
Considering this, what is continuous control monitoring?
Continuous controls monitoring (CCM) is a set of technologies to reduce business losses through continuous monitoring and reducing the cost of audits through continuous auditing of the controls in financial and other transactional applications.
Simply so, why Controlling is a continuous process?
Controlling is a continuous activity as it involves constant review of actual performance for taking timely corrective action. According to Philip Kotler, “Control is the process of taking steps to bring actual results and desired results closer together”.
Continuous control systems are real, they can't be realized with computers. So basically, if you see it's graph, it has steps on X (time) and Y (amplitude) both axes, whereas continuous signal will have smooth curve. Discrete cs are easier to implement with electronics and computer. They are slow, but realizable.
