Is Miku still a Vocaloid?
Simply so, is Miku a Vocaloid?
???) is the name of a Vocaloid software voicebank developed by Crypton Future Media and its official moe anthropomorph, a 16-year-old girl with long, turquoise twintails. She uses Yamaha Corporation's Vocaloid 2, Vocaloid 3, and Vocaloid 4 singing synthesizing technologies.
Keeping this in consideration, is Hatsune Miku discontinued?
They are discontinued because they have been replaced with V3 or V4 libraries (you can buy the V3/V4 voices on the official vocaloid store or by going on each studio's site. Crypton Future Media and Zero-G voices can also be bought off of Big Fish Audio).
Hatsune Miku, is not an artist - she is a vocal library for the VOCALOID software. She is software, completely artificial - she does not make music - rather, people buy her voicebank, and make music with her voice. So to answer your question, yes, she does, in fact, tons of songs using her voice are made every day.
