Full-time teachers got either a morning or an afternoon, so 150 minutes, up to 180 minutes, per week. 0.6 would obviously be 90 to 108 minutes per week. Remember teaching doesn't include assembly time - and PPA shouldn't be taken during assembly time.
Furthermore, how much PPA does a 0.6 teacher get?
25 hours available teaching time divided by 10 = 2.5 hours per week. A teacher on a 0.6 contract would be available to teach 15 hours per week, divide that by 10 and you should have 1.5 hours.
Beside this, how much PPA should teachers get?
All teachers are entitled to a minimum of 10 per cent of their regular teaching hours as PPA time. For most full-time teachers, this works out at about 2.5 hours per week.
We've always been told it's 2.5 hours for a full time teacher, so a part time teacher gets half an hour for each day they work. 0.4 would give you an hour PPA.
