All-clad stuff lasts forever except for the non-stick stuff-- The non-stick stuff lasts 3 years tops.
In this regard, how long are pots and pans supposed to last?
about five years
Correspondingly, are all Clad pans worth it?
Yes, All-Clad is expensive. Premium cookware is a significant investment, but your All-Clad collection (at least the pots and pans that don't have non-stick coating) will last for your lifetime and beyond. All-Clad's bonded cookware is expensive becasue it is made in the USA.
The general rule of thumb they offered is pretty simple: if any material is coming off the pan and ending up in your food, replace your cookware. For example, if non-stick pans are flaking off because of scratches, they should be replaced. If nothing else, it's just kind of gross to eat a part of your pan.
