How do you install mesh fencing?
Also, how do you attach mesh to a fence?
Attach the mesh to T-posts with wire ties or baling wire. Attach the mesh at the top of the post, in the middle of the post, and at the bottom of the post. Fencing can be attached to wooden posts with wire or with a heavy-duty staple gun. A gate will work best if attached to a post set in concrete.
- Posts. Choose metal T-posts or wooden posts.
- Mesh cloth. It comes in rolls, in different strengths.
- Baling wire or wire ties to attach the mesh to the posts.
- Concrete if setting wooden posts (such as for a gate).
- Shovel or post hole digger if setting posts in concrete.
Similarly, how do you attach wire mesh to a wood fence?
Hold the wire in place on the fence and apply the first staples to the post. Wear heavy gloves for the job to protect your hands from the wire. Unroll a couple of feet of wire, pulling it taut, and then staple to the fence rails. Keep unrolling and stapling, allowing about 24 inches between staples.
Hold the wire mesh in place, or have a friend hold it for you, and then press an industrial staple gun -- with staples slightly smaller than the depth of your frame -- onto the top corner of the mesh. Pull the trigger and insert a staple into the top left corner, and then the top right corner.
