How do you get ChapStick out of washed and dried clothes?
Accordingly, is it safe to use chapstick after its been washed?
Let's say that you left your chapstick in your pocket and it went through the washing machine. However, it gets discovered before it goes through the dryer, so it is still intact. Well, it depends on what it was washed with. No, it's probably not sanitary.
- Remove as much excess sunscreen from the affected area as you can, then blot it with a dry cloth.
- Sprinkle either bi-carb soda or cornflour over the stained area to absorb excess oils.
- Brush off any excess powder then rub it with a strong laundry detergent as we mentioned above.
Likewise, how do you get Carmex out of clothes after drying?
Kim, if you have already dried these items in the dryer, there's really not much you can do. (Heat will set the stain). If not, put a couple drops of Dawn dishwashing liquid on each spot, scrub a little and then wash as normal. Dawn is excellent in getting out oil/grease stains.
Follow the package directions and mix a solution of oxygen bleach (such as OxiClean, Clorox 2 or Nellie's Natural Oxygen Brightener) and warm water. Completely submerge the stained garment and allow it to soak for at least two hours; overnight is even better. This will remove the dye. Wash and dry the fabrics as usual.
