Iron-On Transfers. Sublime Stitching iron-on transfers make embroidering easy. Just transfer the design to fabric with a hot iron, and stitch along the lines! The pattern will print again and again (really).
In this regard, do iron on embroidery patterns wash out?
They usually don't wash out. Opt for a transfer method that you are sure will leave no trace of a pattern. And then there are times when the iron-on itself might be problematic. All iron-ons are not created equal.
Accordingly, how do you use embroidery transfer paper?
Draw the embroidery design on white paper with a black marker. Place the design under the fabric and use a DMC Embroidery Transfer Pen or DMC Embroidery Transfer Pencil to trace it directly onto the fabric. To see the design more easily, tape the paper and fabric onto a sunny window or use a light box.
- Trace your design onto your tracing paper.
- Poke holes into your design along the traced lines.
- With your holes all punched, center your image over your piece of fabric and pin down.
- Begin your stitching.
- When you finish make sure to tie off then it is on to the final step!
- Tear off the tracing paper.
- Step 7: Finish.
