Start the Jeep let it warm up till the thermostat opens,( you will feel the heat in the radiator hose when it opens ) then shut it off and use the 90 degree screwdriver, bleed it, then tighten the screw and restart the motor to finish.
Also question is, how do I bleed the cooling system in my car?
How to Bleed a Cooling System That Doesn't Have a Bleed Screw
- Remove the radiator cap.
- Fill the radiator with a 1-1 ratio mixture of distilled water and antifreeze up to the bottom of the radiator neck.
- Add coolant to the reservoir container to bring the level up to the "Cold" mark as well.
In this way, will cooling system bleed itself?
The coolant system can self-bleed some between the thermostat and over-flow tank, but to do it properly you should fill the coolant and run the car with the radiator cap off. Once the engine is up to operating temperature the thermostat will open and the air will bubble out. Top off the coolant as needed.
When it cools, a vacuum is formed that allows atmospheric pressure to push the fluid back into the system. If there isn't enough fluid in the tank, air is pushed into the cooling system instead of coolant. A slightly low coolant level shouldn't cause much harm, though it may cause the car to overheat.
