Does foil stick to paint?
Also, does acrylic paint stick to aluminum foil?
If you are talking about using heavy body acrylics applied thickly to the foil, then no, that's not something I would do. Take your piece of aluminum foil and crumple it a bit. Then smooth out the ridges with your hand. This will give your piece some texture and help will bring out the beauty of the paint.
Then, does paint dry on foil?
The foil is a little delicate and can rip and tear easily which can be frustrating. Not only will that make cleaning up easier but it also helps the paint to stick to the foil better and not flake off when it dries.
Spray acrylic latex spray-paint over the aluminum foil. Move back and forth, spraying intermittently until the paint has completely covered the primer. Wait two hours for the paint to dry. Apply a second coat, if necessary.
