That's the poop we all know our hamsters have, and the ones you see in their cage when you clean the cage. Those droppings are dry and hard, and sometimes your hamster might leave them in weird places. I've seen him sometimes throw the dry poop across his 'room', or even spit it out of his cage.

Your hamster has to eat his own poop in order to survive. Small animals (like hamsters and rabbits) are hindgut fermenters. This means they digest much of their food in the cecum (which is located where the large intestine and the small intestine meet.
In this way, do hamsters poop out their mouth?
KoreanPup 02 May 2008. hopefully you mean u figured out that they took the poop in and then spit it out because hamsters for SURE do not poop out of their mouths xP. This is okay because hamsters eat their own poop that are filled with nutrients.
Hamsters don't actually have the ability to throw up. I don't really know the biology behind it,, but they can't. So whatever your hamster was spitting out was simply stored in her cheek pouches.
