Zeus arrives and angrily kills Ares for disobeying his command. Zeus tells Theseus and his allies to let Ares' death be a warning to both the gods and them that they will receive no more help from the gods, and he must justify the faith Zeus has in him alone.
Also, did Ares betray Zeus?
He hated Zeus's creation(man and woman) and he wished for the human civilisation to die. Zeus, thus hated him even more. Whoever prayed to Ares was driven mad by Ares and then was made to commit brutal, heinous acts of cold, cruel evil.
Similarly one may ask, can Zeus beat Ares?
Zeus is supposedly the most powerful as far as abilities go, but he can't do anything to kill Ares unless he gets close to him in which case Ares is the superior warrior. It would make sense since he is the god of war. Ares must have years of not only experience but also watching warriors fight.
Answer and Explanation: In Greek mythology, Zeus is not killed at all. Zeus is king of the Greek gods and goddesses, a role he takes on after defeating his own father.
