There are lots of thin, rigid, clear plastics out there, but very few of them can be used with dry-erase markers. The obvious choice would be acrylic, since it's cheap and easy to work with. Unfortunately, acrylic has an irritating tendency to “ghost,” or leave traces of marker after you erase.
Regarding this, how do you get dry erase marker off acrylic?
Remove marker from Plexiglass with alcohol.
- Rinse a cleaning eraser under water and scrub over the Plexiglass surface.
- Mist hairspray or drizzle rubbing alcohol over the Plexiglass, and scrub gently with a cleaning rag.
- Wipe the area with a damp rag and dry the Plexiglass when all marker is removed.
In this regard, can you use a dry erase marker on plexiglass?
Plexiglass - yes. Dry erase markers - no. Havn't come across a need for them.
Tip: Make A Dry Erase Board With Contact Paper White dry erase boards are costly, especially large ones. Instead, I stick white contact paper to the front of my refrigerator. Dry erase markers work well on it and can be wiped with a damp cloth or special dry erase spray.
