Can you use bleach in a Saniflo toilet?
Keeping this in consideration, can I put bleach down a macerator toilet?
Bleach or other toilet cleaning chemicals or kettle descalers do not descale a Saniflo or any other macerator pump, all they do is damage the rubber internal parts and can cause shrinkage. Heavy and prolonged use of toilet cleaners to eventually shrink the rubber parts.
Beside above, do saniflo toilets smell? Bad smells can be due to a build-up of limescale and human waste in the 2-3 inches of water that's always left in the Saniflo. To see if it's your Sanilfo that's emitting the bad smell, flush your toilet or fill your basin with water and then unplug it.
Beside this, how do I clean my saniflo toilet bowl?
Pour 1-2.5 litres of Toilet Cleaner & Macerator Descaler into the toilet bowl. Turn the macerator pump on for a few seconds to allow the descaler to enter the macerator. Turn the macerator off again and allow to work for 2 hours.
Why is my saniflo noisy?
There are a few reasons for this, a running tap, a blockage in the Saniflo, a blockage in the Saniflo waste pipe leading outside, the membrane is damaged, the microswitch is stuck on or the pump blade has detached from the motor this would be accompanied by a whirring noise.
