Pros to an aftermarket exhaust – Exhaust systems will make your car look better if the exhaust is the proper size. If you use your car on the track, the aftermarket exhaust can reduce weight. Add the weight reduction to the power increase and the system easily seems worth it.
In respect to this, does aftermarket exhaust make a difference?
An aftermarket performance exhaust can free some of the power in your engine. This means your engine "breathes" better, so spent fuel and air exit the combustion chambers faster. That means more fuel and air can be burned to create more power.
- More power. One of the most interesting things about adding an aftermarket exhaust to your car is the fact that it can offer more power and performance.
- Improved fuel economy.
- Sound.
- Choosing your system.
Also, is aftermarket exhaust bad for engine?
No, it will not damage the engine if it is designed by someone who has a clue what they are doing. However, when you bolt on an aftermarket exhaust, you will probably need to re jet or re map the engines fuel system.
It's almost pointless (for performance) to just do cat back. The down pipe and cat are the two most restrictive parts of our exhaust. But yes, it's worth it for the sound.
